Team member focus - Evan Brown, Chief Executive Officer

PART NUMBER SEARCH
March 4, 2024

I am the CEO of Aeroforge and have been in this position since 2014.  I started my career in the aerospace industry as the Director of Sales and Marketing with Aeroforge. I guess you could say it is in my blood because my Grandfather started the business in 1971. This is what I have wanted to do my entire life, so I feel incredibly blessed!

My professional career started in the United States Marine Corps, following my graduation from Gonzaga University.  I was an Intelligence Officer and spent three years stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan.   I had the opportunity to travel the world supporting multi-national military exercises.  The ultimate culmination of this tour was participating in Operation Tomodachi in support of relief efforts for the nuclear and tsunami disaster in Japan.

FAMILY

I have been married to my beautiful wife, Shanik, since 2015.  We live in Gig Harbor, Washington.  We have two cats that provide lots of laughs and enjoyment to our lives. We also have a baby girl on the way and are due any day now.

THREE RANDOM QUESTIONS

What is your favorite indoor and outdoor activity?

I think my favorite outdoor activity would be either hunting or backpacking. As for indoor, it would be ping pong!

What are you most looking forward to in 2018?

Other than the fact that my wife and I are expecting our first child, I am most looking forward to two challenges I have signed up for this year. I am signed up to do a Spartan Race in April and I will also be attempting to summit Mount Rainier in August. Talk about an exciting year!

What jobs did you have in high school?

My first job was working for a Ford Dealership in Gig Harbor. I was a Lot Attendant and was responsible for keeping all the cars clean and lined up properly in the lot. My other high school job was working at Home Depot. Once again, I was stuck out in the parking lot and was in charge of herding all the shopping carts and helping customers load heavy items into their car. Loading concrete bags was probably my least favorite part of that job. To this day, I ALWAYS return my shopping cart to the stall because I remember how difficult it made my job when people would leave them up against the curb.

FAVORITE QUOTE

"Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."

- Sir Winston Churchill
